About the Rochester IEEE Scholarships
The IEEE Rochester Section was founded in 1914, and serves more than 1,000 members of the IEEE. There are 13 chapters and affinity groups covering topics of interest from Signal Processing, Photonics, Engineering in Medicine and Biology, to Technology Engineering and Management. The chapters and affinity groups organize more than 100 meetings a year. In addition to the IEEE organization activities, the Rochester Section organizes and sponsors several events in any given year. The Rochester Section publishes a monthly newsletter that is printed in the Rochester Engineering Society publication. The IEEE Rochester Section also offers social programs such as the section annual meeting, baseball games, Milestone events, and other non-technical professional activities to round out the local events.
More than 150 volunteers help create and coordinate events throughout the year. Scholarships and awards are granted annually to undergraduate students affiliated with the Rochester IEEE Section. These scholarships and awards recognize outstanding engineering, engineering technology, science or technology students. Please see the corresponding links for more information regarding each opportunity. |
