RES Tutoring Team Needs You This Summer

The Rochester Engineering Society TutoringTeam Needs You!

WANTED:  Volunteer mentors/tutors to support students in a brand new Summer Science & Literacy Academy program for Dr. Walter Cooper Academy Scholars.  This program presents an opportunity for you to give back and help to bring Science, Technology & Engineering Practices alive for young children! 


  Our curriculum will be hands-on and inquiry-based as students formulate, and seek the answers to, guiding questions around content in the Earth, Physical, Life & Social Sciences.                                                                                                             Some of our expedition topics will be:  Living Things, Caring for Mother Earth, Ant/Insect Communities, The Amazing Human Body, Racing: Forces & Energy, Geology, Inventors & Inventions.

This is a week-day program that runs for five weeks.

It begins on Monday, July 6th and runs through Friday, August 7th. 

The hours will be from 8:30 AM – 2:30PM
